Here is the “Canova” commercial park: hundreds of Treviso people at the inauguration

Waders, circus, music, a super refreshment and a party that will continue throughout the day, with an afternoon concert to accompany the event. Grand opening today, August 31, for the new “Canova” shopping park along the Noalese, a few steps from the airport and the ring road. It is located where the former Marazzato dealer was once located and includes, in addition to the Aliper supermarket, also the Arcaplanet, Euronics Bruno, Poltronesofà shops, the Laif bistro bar, Manià clothing and in a few weeks also Decathlon which will abandon the Olmi di San Biagio for this new destination. The total of the commercial park is 13 thousand square meters on an area of 55 thousand square meters. The car park of the new shopping center, in fact the first built in the Treviso municipal area, was already crowded in the early morning: hundreds of Treviso people did not want to miss the ribbon cutting, the first shopping and the first shopping in the shops and to savor the rich buffet offered.

The founder of the company (born in 1971), Francesco Canella, accompanied by the brothers Piero and Settimo, but also the mayor of Treviso, Mario Conte, his deputy, Andrea De Checchi, the councilor for environment Alessandro Manera, the president of the province, Stefano Marcon, the “sheriff” Giancarlo Gentilini (here his speech), Don Giovanni Giuffrida, Vicar of the Bishop of Treviso, for the blessing of practice, the designer Giorgio Signorotto and many others including entrepreneurs, ordinary citizens and just curious.

Matteo and Gianni Canella, respectively CEO and vice president of Alì supermarkets (Veneto giant of the large-scale retail trade that has 4600 employees), explained the green nature of the operation (with a total cost of about 30 million euros): where there was asphalt and concrete (for about ten years the area, 50 thousand square meters in width, was disused and abandoned) a shopping center that will employ 220 employees, but above all sees the presence of 270 trees and a presence of commercial buildings which covers only 30% of the surface. One of the most innovative solutions with a view to respecting the environment (in addition to a 150.5 kW photovoltaic system, columns to recharge electric cars, full LED lighting, 900 draining parking spaces and use of wood from sustainable forests) is undoubtedly the installation of photo-active ceramic walls, a particular material that purifies the air by capturing fine dust. Curiously, the racks to park the bikes are absent but will soon be installed.

There is another aspect that will have to be clarified in the coming weeks, when the shopping center will be fully operational: the car park could be used by users of the “Canova” airport who would avoid the paid one. As a remedy to this, it is possible to introduce closing bars and to give those who go to the center to do the shopping or other purchases a token with which to exit the parking lot.

In the city it will not be the last project started by Aliper: not far away, near the roundabout of the Appiani citadel, a new supermarket will rise, just a few steps from the Panorama. In some time, therefore, a new inauguration is planned, probably preceded by that of the new Aliper of Vittorio Veneto, at the ex Carnielli, and that of Mestre, at the ex Umberto I.
