Jeep, the well-known American brand specializing in off-road vehicles, has removed the veils on the first official details of its next B-SUV. Avenger will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show
Jeep surprises everyone by shuffling the cards: it will no longer be called Jeepster, as previously thought, but Avenger. The confirmation of the name of the vehicle comes during the world premiere of the Jeep 4xe Day, together with the first details, the most salient of which is that it will be the first full electric Jeep, as well as the first ever of the brand that will be built entirely in Europe with the support of the Stellantis Group. This is the first of a long series dedicated to respecting the environment, given that Jeep announced that it will only market 100% battery-powered vehicles in Europe by 2030.
Jeep Avenger: first details and features
Let’s continue with the details. As mentioned in the head, the Jeep Avenger will be produced in Europeprecisely in the Polish factory in Tychy and will be based on the proven STLA Small platform which will provide greater compactness with a wheelbase that is 16 centimeters longer than the Renegade. The Avenger will therefore be very compact and, with a length that is expected to be just over 4 meters, it will place itself strongly in the lower B segment.
Engines. Jeep Avenger will be available exclusively in the version 100% electric from 136 HPand the engine will be powered by 50 kWh batteries which should guarantee a maximum range of 400Km with a 100% recharge. Mild and full hybrid engines are also expected, but also a combustion engine, but only later. In any case, we will know all the details at the Paris Auto Show, which will take place on October 17th. Only a month to go!
Interior and prices
Interior. Jeep Avenger, from the first details revealed, will maintain a modern and minimal approach, in line with the range. Great space will be given to infotainment and hi-tech features, with a large horizontal aspect ratio screen and a target audience that seems to be aimed at the younger segment. However, the load capacity of the trunk is reduced, which with 321 liters is in fact less roomy than that of the current Renegade, the car it will replace. But thanks to a longer length, it should ensure greater interior space for passengers.
Unfortunately nothing is known about it yet price access and maximum ceiling, but given the low B segment classification, a range of between 25 thousand and 30 thousand euros can be expected.
