A social and web tam tam that starts from Comiso, bounces off Bologna and arrives in Turin: the airline Ryanair it would, in fact, be cutting routes and frequencies on some Italian bases for the next winter season which will begin on 30 October.

The news was relaunched by the specialized portal Italy Fly who was the first to report that the Comiso-Bologna connection right from the beginning of November.

Consequently, it seems that Marconi i connections will drop from 62 to 46 with the abolition of the routes to Malaga, Billund, Bordeaux, Katowice, Marseille, Oradea, Pafos, Palma, Prague, Sibiu, Santander, Podgorica, Toulouse, Wroclaw and Zaragoza. Also, others 17 destinations will suffer a cut in frequencies (among these Alghero, Brindisi, Bari, Catania, Crotone, London Stansted, Madrid, Valencia and Manchester).

But apparently the cuts affect all the Italian bases. All time Italy Fly reports a post published on Facebook from the portal FlyTorino which underlines how – although in the absence of official communications – in the last two weeks Ryanair has removed from the sale “dozens of routes o reduced frequencies on the entire winter network All Italian airports are affected (with the sole exception of Bergamo), with some sensational situations as in the case of Bologna, but substantial cuts also concern the bases in Romania, Greece, Hungary, Portugal. Also Turin is involved: winter flights for Agadir, Budapest, Mallorca and Tel Avivbut the three new entries from Manchester, Stockholm and Vilnius are still confirmed ”.

The president of the management company Aeroporto Marconi di Bologna Spa also spoke on the Emilian case, Enrico Postacchiniwhich issued a The Rest of the Carlino the following statement: «Nothing official, as regards the decision to cancel the routes and, perhaps, not to restore them anymore, has been delivered to the top of the Marconi. It is a historical fact that certain destinations are canceled for the winter and restored for the summer season. However, we have not received any communication from the Ryanair company that there are destinations canceled forever. It may be that at this time they are not filling the flights and therefore making their assessments. Of course we know that they are reviewing their policies, from the cost of airline tickets to promotions, not only in Italy but throughout Europe. But at the moment we don’t have anything in hand that attests this decision of theirs ».

The Bolognese newspaper speaks of a cut of approx 660 thousand seats less due to the cuts in routes and frequencies that the low cost carrier will operate in the coming months; but it hints at the possibility that the connections “removed” in Bologna could be diverted to the nearby airports of Forlì, Parma and Rimini.
